My version of "Intelligent Design"

A long time ago I wonder at how the scientific theory and religious creationism
were always at odds as to which was right and which was utter poppycock.
So I thought about it for a very long time and came up with my own idea
that allowed both to co-exist with only a minimum of conflict.

I first posted a bit of my own idea at Angel's Grimoire's old Pillars of
Faith sub domain and one of the other members finally gave me a name
for it, Intelligent Design. At the time I was not familiar enough with the
established idea of ID to know or understand that it was basically just a
rehashed and renamed version of basic creationism; Until I watched a video
on YouTube of a lecture by Ken Miller on the subject.

Ken Miller on Intelligent Design

As a special note, this a philosophical theory not a scientific theory or
religious theory.

I called it "God's Firecracker" for lack of a better name. It does incorporate
aspects of the Big Bang theory as well as Evolution to make it fit in better
with science and most Creation stories.

In the primordial era before life as we know it began there was a supreme
being or an intelligent primordial force that simple was. I will not conjecture
as to the origins of this being or force. The being created for all intents and
purposes a "firecracker" that contained all the matter and energy that we
know of now and things we have yet to discover. More than that, it contained
the "instructions" for how to make everything from a sub atomic particle to things
as vast and intricate as entire galaxies.

This "firecracker" was lit and cast into the center of what we call our known
universe, where it exploded scattering matter in all directions and the needed
energy to begin the process needed for the first seeds of life to come into
existence. Over countless eons the matter spread and the universe as we see
it was slowly formed and life evolved following the intricate "instructions".

And there it is, two short and simple paragraphs that, to me at least, allow
both scientific theory and creationism to co-exist.
